Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to find letterboxers in a
specific area. I'm in CO and wonder how many are here?

Go to Atlasquest.com and type in the city you are interested in.
Or on letterboxing.org you can click on the CO map and then find the county you are interested in.

On LbNA, use the Seach for Letterboxes link then select CO as the state.

Mommo,It sounds like she is trying to find other letterboxERS in the CO
area, not letterboxES. As far as I know, you can't search by location of
people. However, if you look to see who has planted/found boxes in your
area, you could get a good idea of some of the people in your area. Correct
me if I am wrong.

Once you find the clues then you can use the Contact the Placer link
on the clues to try to reach them. No everyone plants locally, of
course.

Another place to check would be the regional talk list for your area. I belive Colorado is part of the Rocky Mountain group, which can be found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rmletterboxing/
AtlasQuest also features boards that are specific to each state. Those, and the regional talk lists, tend to have more conversation from local letterboxers than this list does.

Lol, yes I misread.
You could also host a gather...doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a BYO picnic in a park that has a box or two, and see who signs up.
